Brisighella begins major road repairs following landslide damage

In Brisighella, major repair works have commenced on via Aurora to address damage caused by the 2023 floods. The project, costing over 2.5 million euros, aims to restore the road using naturalistic engineering techniques, including wooden and stone structures, palisades, and improved drainage systems to mitigate hydrogeological risk.

Mayor Massimiliano Pederzoli reported that the municipality has faced more than 530 landslides on local roads, with total damages estimated at 140 million euros. The via Aurora intervention is part of a 40-million-euro funding package provided by the commissioner structure, which also includes recent works on via Paglia.
