Bristenstrasse road closures in Amsteg and Bristen

Roadwork on the Bristenstrasse between Amsteg and St. Antoni/Bristen in Uri, Switzerland, has led to updated traffic restrictions. Due to the installation of protective nets and rock anchors, specific traffic regimes are in place to manage safety and transit.

Nighttime closures have been canceled because rock anchor work was completed ahead of schedule. However, daytime restrictions under 'Regime B' will continue until approximately the end of November 2026. These daily closures are scheduled for 08:05 to 08:40, 10:10 to 11:30, and 13:45 to 15:00.

Between October 26 and approximately November 6, 2026, a more restrictive 'Regime C' will apply during weekdays from 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00. Traffic flow during these periods is coordinated with the Auto AG Uri bus line 407 to ensure public transport connectivity. Emergency services maintain unrestricted access, and the road remains fully accessible on weekends.
