Bristol Bears sign former Leicester Tigers lock Harry Wells

The Bristol Bears have signed experienced lock Harry Wells to a short-term, three-month contract. The 32-year-old joins the club to bolster their forward options while players Josh Caulfield, Bill Mata, and Khalik Kareem recover from injuries.

Wells brings extensive Premiership experience, having made 236 appearances for the Leicester Tigers, where he won the Premiership title in 2022 and the Premiership Rugby Cup. Before joining Bristol, he had signed as a player-coach for Oundle RFC in National League 2 East. Oundle has agreed to release him for the duration of this short-term deal. Wells has expressed his commitment to returning to Oundle once his tenure with the Bears concludes.
