Bristol Bears sign Samoan forward Totoa Auvaa

Bristol Bears have signed 21-year-old Samoan forward Totoa Auvaa, two weeks after his dismissal from Saracens. Auvaa was released by Saracens following an incident in St Albans that is currently under police investigation.

Auvaa previously gained media attention for his involvement in a nightclub altercation in June involving England cricketers Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson. His disciplinary record also includes two red cards for violent conduct while on loan at Ampthill last season.

Bristol Bears director of rugby Pat Lam stated he is willing to provide mentorship and support to help the player develop both on and off the field. Lam noted that Auvaa possesses enormous potential and expressed a desire to help the young player learn from his past mistakes.
