Bristol City appoints Michael Skubala as manager and launches hospice Giving Back Day

Bristol City announced the appointment of Michael Skubala as head coach on a contract running to 2029. Skubala arrives from Lincoln City, where he led the side to the League One title with 103 points in the 2023‑24 season. The club hopes his experience in building a reliable, intense side will improve Bristol’s performance in the English Championship.

In conjunction with the new manager’s first weeks, the club marked its annual Giving Back Day by visiting Children’s Hospice South West at Charlton Farm. Players and staff spent time with children and families, extending a tradition of Christmas visits to a summer outreach event, highlighting the club’s community commitment.
