Bristol City beats Swindon Town 3-1 in pre‑season friendly

Bristol City secured a 3‑1 victory over Swindon Town at the County Ground in a pre‑season match. New signing Lorent Tolaj scored both goals, the first coming a minute after entering the field and the second a header from a free‑kick. Jed Wallace added a third on his debut for the Robins.

Manager Michael Skubala praised Tolaj’s impact, saying, “It’s a friendly, but it’s good for Tolaj to hit the back of the net, more than that I think the fans could see his all‑round game, how exciting he is, how powerful he is, and how much he wants to score.” He also noted that Bristol City finished the game injury‑free, while Swindon Town suffered three hamstring injuries.

The win marked Skubala’s first competitive result as Bristol City’s manager, providing a positive start to the club’s preparation for the upcoming Championship season.
