Bristol Myers Squibb to invest $2.3 billion in Houston manufacturing campus

Bristol Myers Squibb has announced a $2.3 billion investment to build a 600,000 square-foot multi-modal manufacturing campus at Generation Park in Houston, Texas. The facility is designed to produce various types of medicines, including biologics, small molecules, and antibody-drug conjugates, supporting production from late-stage development through product launch.

The project is expected to create nearly 500 skilled jobs and approximately 2,000 construction and indirect jobs between 2027 and 2030. This initiative is part of a broader $40 billion commitment by the company to invest in United States-based research, development, and domestic manufacturing capabilities over five years.

Company leadership noted that the modular design of the campus will allow for future reconfiguration to meet evolving patient needs and scientific breakthroughs. Texas Governor Greg Abbott highlighted the investment as a testament to the state's biotech ecosystem and skilled workforce.
