Bristol Myers Squibb to invest $2.3B in Houston manufacturing campus

Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) has announced a $2.3 billion investment to construct a multi-modal manufacturing campus at Generation Park in Houston, Texas. The 600,000-square-foot facility is designed with a modular architecture to allow for future expansion and reconfiguration of production capacity.

The site will support the manufacturing of various medicine types, including biologics, small molecules, and antibody-drug conjugates, spanning from late-stage development to finished goods launch. The company stated that the modular design will enable the integration of future automation and digital technologies to meet evolving pipeline and commercial needs.

The project is expected to create nearly 500 skilled jobs initially, including roles for production specialists, engineers, and quality control professionals. This investment is part of a broader $40 billion commitment by BMS to enhance domestic manufacturing, research, and development capabilities within the United States.
