Britain in Bloom judges tour Dunstable and Llanwrtyd Wells

RHS Britain in Bloom judges visited Dunstable on 3 August, touring community gardens, volunteer‑run projects and green spaces such as Woodside Industrial Estate, Incredible Edible Katherine Drive, Priory Park Independent Living and Mentmore Recreation Ground. The town, a recent Anglia in Bloom award winner, showcased resident‑led horticulture, biodiversity work and school gardening initiatives as part of its entry for the 2026 national competition.

On 30 July the judges travelled to Llanwrtyd Wells in Wales, the sole Welsh finalist, to view displays that include a revamped station, the Grow and Share garden, a wildlife meadow, pond and sensory garden. The town earned its place in the Britain in Bloom finals after winning a gold award in the RHS Wales in Bloom competition in 2025. Both visits highlight the role of volunteers and community groups in improving local environments and competing for national recognition.
