BritBox announces casting for 'The Detection Club' mystery drama

BritBox and BBC Studios Drama Productions have announced the casting for 'The Detection Club', a new 10-part mystery drama created by Kit Lambert. Inspired by the golden age of detective fiction, the series is set in 1930s London and follows a secret society formed by three iconic British crime writers: Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, and G. K. Chesterton.

The plot centers on the trio as they are drawn into real-life murder investigations, working alongside D. I. Greenway, a young police detective. The production will film across the West Midlands.

The cast includes Miles Jupp as G. K. Chesterton, Bryony Hannah as Agatha Christie, Cara Theobold as Dorothy L. Sayers, and Viraj Juneja as D. I. Greenway. The series is based on an original idea by author Simon Brett.
