BritBox announces Tommy & Tuppence series premiere

BritBox has released the official trailer and key art for ‘Agatha Christie’s Tommy & Tuppence’, a new six-part contemporary drama series. The adaptation, which brings the classic detective duo into the 21st century, is scheduled to premiere with two episodes on September 15 in the United States and Canada.

The series stars Antonia Thomas, Josh Dylan, and Imelda Staunton. It is written by Phoebe Eclair-Powell and produced by Lookout Point, part of BBC Studios, and Agatha Christie Limited. The production follows the adventures of Thomas and Prudence Beresford, a married couple who engage in detective work for both excitement and profit.

Directed by Fergus O’Brien and Ellie Heydon, the series marks the first contemporary English-language television adaptation of these specific characters. The show joins BritBox’s existing catalog of Agatha Christie adaptations, such as ‘Poirot’ and ‘Marple’.
