BritBox reveals cast for ‘The Other Bennet Sister’ Christmas special

BritBox has released details and a first look at the upcoming three-part Christmas special of ‘The Other Bennet Sister’. The production, which recently wrapped in Wales, follows the events of the original series finale where Mary Bennet (Ella Bruccoleri) agreed to marry Tom Hayward (Dónal Finn).

The new episodes will explore Mary’s transition into her new identity as Mrs. Hayward. The special is written by series creator Sarah Quintrell, based on storylines by author Janice Hadlow, with Asim Abbasi returning to direct.

Most of the original cast will return, including Ruth Jones as Mrs. Bennet, Tanya Reynolds as Caroline Bingley, and Laurie Davidson as Mr. Ryder. Nerys Amber-Stocks joins the cast as Mary’s housemaid, Lucy. However, Richard Coyle and Indira Varma (Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner) and Lucy Briers (Mrs. Hill) will not be returning for this special.
