British Airways flight returns to Gatwick due to cracked window

A British Airways flight traveling from London Gatwick to Faro, Portugal, was forced to make an emergency return to Gatwick on Tuesday due to a cracked passenger window.

Flight BA2660 diverted over north-western France after pilots identified structural damage to a window panel on the right side of the aircraft. The crew issued an emergency code (7700) during the diversion. A British Airways spokesperson confirmed the aircraft landed safely and described the situation as a “minor technical issue.”

The airline apologized to passengers for the delay and stated that teams are working to reorganize their travel plans.
