British American Tobacco raises cigarette prices in Argentina

British American Tobacco (BAT) has announced a price increase for its cigarette products across Argentina, effective Monday, August 24, 2026. The adjustment follows the company's previous price hike in late June and comes after official data from INDEC reported a 2.1% inflation rate for July.

The price adjustments average approximately 7%, though some specific products will see increases of up to 10%. The most significant hikes are affecting entry-level and economy options. For instance, Lucky Strike Origen Red Box 20 and Camel Legend Box 20 will rise from $3,650 to $4,050, representing an increase of over 10%.

Premium lines and consolidated versions showed more moderate adjustments. The Lucky Strike XL range and traditional Camel Box 20 versions saw an average increase of 5%, while the highest-priced option, Lucky Strike Paris Box 20, rose from $6,450 to $6,750, a 4.65% increase.
