British Asian Trust partners with Tariq Halal Meats for Pakistan mental health

The British Asian Trust, a charity founded by King Charles III, has entered into a partnership with Tariq Halal Meats to support mental health awareness and improve access to care in Pakistan.

Tariq Halal Meats will utilize its network of over 40 branches, digital platforms, and community connections to encourage discussions regarding mental health and to raise funds for the Trust’s programs. The initiative aims to combat the social stigma and service shortages that currently hinder treatment in the region.

Reports indicate that approximately 50 million people in Pakistan experience mental health issues, with roughly one in four individuals affected during their lifetime. Currently, an estimated 90% of those requiring treatment are unable to access appropriate support.
