British bands Duran Duran and The Cure announce concerts in Czech Republic and Slovakia

British pop‑rock group Duran Duran will return to the Czech Republic, playing a show at Prague’s O2 arena. The band, featuring Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor, recalled their first Prague concert in 1988 and praised the local audience and Czech beer, marking their first Czech appearance in 14 years.

British alternative act The Cure is set to perform at Trenčín airport in Slovakia on 8 July 2026 as part of the Pohoda festival’s 30th‑anniversary "Extra Day". The concert will be the band’s only regional appearance, with a line‑up that includes The Twilight Sad, Just Mustard, Denis Bango and DJ Hiroko Yamamura, and will feature onsite camping and transport links from Czech cities.

Both events highlight a resurgence of classic UK bands touring Central Europe, drawing fans from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and surrounding nations.
