British Columbia community members Dale Mather and Peggy Chartier pass away

Obituaries have been released for Dale Marie Ann Mather and Peggy June Chartier, both residents of British Columbia.

Dale Marie Ann Mather passed away on June 17, 2026, at the age of 72 in Kimberley. A native of Marysville, she was known for her extensive community involvement, including fundraising for the Heart & Stroke Foundation and volunteering with the Girl Guides and Kimberley Summer Theatre. She was also remembered by local children as the “Candy Lady” for her generosity.

Peggy June Chartier passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 70. Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, she lived in Grindrod, British Columbia, and worked for many years for the BC Government Liquor Store. She is remembered by her family for her resilience and her dedication to her children and grandchildren.
