British Columbia Conservatives urged to prioritize sacrifice following election

Following the 2026 British Columbia provincial election, calls have been made for the incoming Conservative government to demonstrate hard work and sacrifice in response to rising living costs. Residents face increased expenses for housing, groceries, and transit, such as the annual 5% TransLink fare hike.

Suggestions for the new administration include shortening the traditional legislative holiday break to three weeks and implementing a one-time 0.5% pay cut for provincial politicians to address the economic challenges facing citizens.
