British Columbia mining firms report new drill milestones

Silver Pony Resources completed a 1,013‑metre diamond‑drilling program at its Silver Pony Project in British Columbia, finishing three holes at the Black Warrior and Old Gold targets. Hole SP26‑001 intersected 298.4 m of repeated marble and argillite, SP26‑002 reached 352.77 m testing the Badshot formation contact, and SP26‑003 logged 361.7 m at the Old Gold target. All holes showed carbonate‑replacement features such as dolomitisation and manganese enrichment. Historic surface samples from the area previously returned up to 12,147 g/t silver and 10.7 % copper, though those results have not been independently verified. Core samples have been sent for assay.

Taranis Resources announced the identification of a hydrothermally altered, sulfide‑bearing syenite intrusive stock, named GUS, on newly acquired mineral tenures at its Thor–Silver Cup project in southeast British Columbia. GUS lies 3.7 km southeast of the Borr epithermal zone and 6.4 km southeast of the NI 43‑101 Thor mineral resource, aligning with the 16‑km Thor Lamprophyre Dyke. The company cited an unverified 1984 drill intercept of gold‑silver‑base‑metal mineralisation 126 m west of GUS, suggesting the intrusive could act as an “engine” for district‑scale mineralisation.
