British Columbia weather: Sunny Victoria and heat spikes in Vancouver

Weather forecasts for British Columbia indicate varying conditions across the region. Greater Victoria is expected to experience a sunny week with temperatures peaking at 25°C on Thursday. While some smoke from wildfires remains in the area, the Air Quality Health Index predicts low risk for the region.

In contrast, Vancouver and the surrounding areas face higher temperatures. Inland areas may see spikes reaching 33°C with a high UV index. While coastal temperatures are expected to remain between 22°C and 24°C, the Metro Vancouver Regional District has issued an ongoing air quality warning due to elevated fine particulate matter and ground-level ozone. This warning affects several areas, including Burnaby, New Westminster, the North Shore, and parts of the Fraser Valley such as Abbotsford and Mission.
