British couple's €300k home razed by wildfires in Greece

A British family of five, pregnant mother Stefanie, her partner Rory and their twins, were preparing to move permanently to Aigialeia in the Peloponnese after investing more than €300,000 in rebuilding a house. On July 31, intense vegetation fires that swept the Panorama and Nerantzies areas reached the property and completely destroyed the home, along with personal belongings and family heirlooms.

The family, who had already transferred their possessions to Greece, now lives temporarily in a rented apartment while a fundraising campaign is launched online to cover immediate needs and reconstruction. Despite the loss, they intend to continue their plan to settle in Greece.
