British courts sentence drug dealers in Liverpool and Leicester

Asher Bedwell, a 33‑year‑old leader of a county‑lines operation that supplied crack cocaine and heroin across Liverpool, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court to four years and six months in prison and ordered to serve a five‑year criminal behaviour order after admitting the charges. During his arrest he racially abused an officer, leading to an additional charge of racially aggravated harassment.

In Leicester, 30‑year‑old Adaam Hussain pleaded guilty to supplying cannabis and possessing criminal property after police found cash and drug‑laden bags in his home. The Leicester Crown Court handed down a 22‑month sentence suspended for two years, with 100 hours of unpaid work, noting his recent apprenticeship as a plumber and urging him to stay on a legitimate career path.
