British influencer claims UK tourists have ruined Spanish destinations

British content creator Max Jeffery has sparked significant debate on social media after releasing a video claiming that British and Irish tourists have “completely ruined” several Spanish destinations. Jeffery, who has over 230,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram, provided a ranking of locations he believes have been negatively impacted by excessive partying and alcohol consumption.

In his list, Marbella holds the top position, followed by Lanzarote in second, Tenerife in third, Magaluf in fourth, and Benidorm in fifth. Regarding Tenerife, Jeffery specifically criticized the Las Verónicas area in the south, describing the nightlife environment as “dark,” “annoying,” and even “dangerous.”

In Lanzarote, the influencer described seeing “an army of Britons drinking and out of control,” noting that the behavior has led to a sentiment where “local people cannot stand us.” The video has elicited mixed reactions online, with some British users expressing regret and local residents expressing agreement with his assessments.
