British man completes 75 stays at Paphos hotel over 24 years

Paul Ingledew, a 76-year-old from Teesside, England, has visited the Louis Phaethon Beach hotel in Paphos, Cyprus, 75 times over the last 24 years. His visits began in 2002 after he and his late wife, Christine, sought an alternative destination to Ibiza.

The hotel has served as a backdrop for significant family milestones, including the weddings of both of his children and subsequent visits with his grandchildren. Ingledew attributes his loyalty to the hotel staff, noting the personal connections and care he receives during his stays.

The relationship with the hotel became particularly meaningful in 2019 following the sudden passing of his wife. Despite his grief, Ingledew chose to proceed with a scheduled trip to Paphos, citing the support of the hotel team as a primary reason for his return.
