British Museum announces new tickets for Bayeux Tapestry exhibition

The British Museum has released a new trailer for its upcoming Bayeux Tapestry exhibition, featuring presenter and museum trustee Claudia Winkleman. In the film, Winkleman portrays a security employee navigating the museum as the 1066 Norman invasion and the Battle of Hastings are brought to life through visual effects and historical re-enactors.

The 70-metre-long linen tapestry, which depicts the Norman Conquest, arrived from France in July. It marks the artifact's first return to the country since its creation approximately 960 years ago. The exhibition is scheduled to run at the British Museum from September through July of next year, with an estimated 7.5 million visitors expected.

Due to high demand, tickets are currently sold out until December. However, the museum announced that a new wave of tickets for visits between January and March will go on sale this October.
