British national arrested for Lahore bank robbery

A British national, identified as Subhan Ali, has been arrested following a bank robbery in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of Lahore, Pakistan. The suspect allegedly targeted a bank near Bhatta Chowk, stealing approximately Rs700,000 to Rs726,000 and two weapons from security guards during a nine-minute robbery.

Investigators stated that Ali, who recently arrived in Pakistan from the United Kingdom following a dispute with his family, claimed to have been inspired by Netflix shows and a task in the game PUBG. Police used Safe City surveillance cameras to track his movements, leading to his arrest within three hours of the incident.

Authorities recovered the stolen cash, two pistols, a 12-bore rifle, and a white Honda Civic RS Turbo allegedly used in the crime. Police are further investigating the suspect's acquisition of illegal weapons and his financial motives.
