British royal children taught Spanish daily by nanny
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are tutored in Spanish each day by their nanny, native speaker Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo. The instruction began when the children were infants and continues as part of their education. According to Hello Magazine, Charlotte can already count in Spanish, and the siblings are expected to develop strong proficiency.
Their parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, speak multiple languages and emphasize multilingualism for future public duties as "working royals". William is fluent in French, Welsh, Spanish, German, Gaelic and Swahili, while Kate knows French and Italian. The daily language training is seen as preparation for the children’s anticipated overseas engagements.
