British Royal Family updates: Princess Eugenie announces daughter's birth

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have announced the birth of their daughter, Adelaide Elizabeth Annina. The Princess shared the news and first photographs via Instagram, noting that the family is currently based in Lisbon, Portugal. The name Adelaide Elizabeth Annina is intended to honor family members and reflects both English and Portuguese history.

Separately, details regarding the school identities of the children of the Prince and Princess of Wales have emerged. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis use the surname Wales at school, following the change in their parents' titles after the accession of King Charles III in 2022. Prince George is currently attending Eton College, while Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis attend Lambrook Prep School.
