British sitcom Mum concludes third season on Arte

The British sitcom ‘Mum’, written by Stefan Golaszewski, is concluding its third season broadcast on the channel Arte. The series, which originally aired on the BBC between 2016 and 2019, follows the life of Cathy, played by Lesley Manville, a widow navigating life with her family.

Despite the ongoing broadcasts, a fourth season is unlikely. The creator has indicated that he did not intend to extend the story beyond the three seasons produced. The final season features a shift in setting, moving from Cathy’s home to a rented country manor.

Arte is currently airing reruns of the series, including the third season, which covers a condensed timeline of one day per episode.
