British tourist dies in Jalë, Albania

A 32-year-old British tourist, born in London, has died in the coastal village of Jalë, located in Himarë, Albania. The woman, identified by the initials I. R., reportedly experienced a sudden deterioration in her health while staying at a local hotel.

After requesting assistance from the hotel reception due to physical distress, hotel staff immediately transported her to a local health center. Despite receiving medical attention from hospital staff, she did not survive.

Preliminary medical assessments suggest the death may have been due to natural causes, noting that the victim had a medical history involving diabetes and respiratory issues. An investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, has initiated procedural actions at the scene and is conducting forensic verifications to determine the exact cause of death.
