Britney Spears has renewed her public criticism of her father, Jamie Spears, following a recent social media post regarding his health. In a since-deleted post, the singer referenced his leg amputation, which occurred several years ago following a bacterial infection, questioning the circumstances of his condition.

Spears has long detailed the restrictive nature of her 13-year conservatorship, which lasted from February 2008 until November 2021. In her 2023 memoir, ‘The Woman in Me’, and during court testimony, she described feeling like a ‘shadow’ of herself, alleging that the arrangement controlled her finances, career, food, medication, and bodily autonomy.

Family members have reportedly expressed disapproval of her recent comments, describing them as ‘needlessly cruel’ given Jamie Spears’s current health status. While Jamie Spears’s legal representatives have previously stated he had no involvement in her medical or reproductive care after September 2019, the singer maintains that the system deprived her of the ability to make basic life decisions despite her professional capabilities.
