Pop star Britney Spears was photographed standing upright through the sunroof of a moving Mercedes SUV on Los Angeles’ 101 freeway. After the video went viral, Los Angeles authorities issued a formal “courtesy call” to warn her that such behavior is hazardous on public roads.

Former manager Sam Lutfi publicly responded, urging the public to treat Spears with compassion rather than mockery, saying “She’s a human being before she’s a celebrity.” Spears posted on Instagram defending the act as “two seconds of insanity” and reflected on her life after the end of her conservatorship in 2021.
