Brixen tourism and Carabinieri unite to improve visitor safety

A delegation from the Hoteliers‑and‑Guest‑Host Association (HGV) and Brixen Tourism met with the newly appointed commander of the Carabinieri company in Brixen, Capitano Giuseppe Specchio. The meeting emphasized that security for guests, employees and local residents is essential for maintaining the quality and attractiveness of the destination.

The participants thanked the police and prosecutors for recent successful investigations that disrupted organized theft groups suspected of targeting accommodation businesses. They discussed concrete prevention measures, including handling property crimes such as bicycle theft, encouraging early reporting of suspicious activity, and using video‑surveillance recordings as evidence before automatic deletion. The dialogue highlighted the need for ongoing cooperation between tourism operators and law‑enforcement to strengthen safety perception and support Brixen’s tourism sector.
