Brixton Metals acquires option for Silvergruvan silver project in Sweden

Brixton Metals Corporation has entered into an option agreement with McKnight Resources AB to acquire a 100% interest in the Silvergruvan Project located in Hällefors Municipality, Sweden. The property spans 1,460 hectares across two exploration permits in the Bergslagen province.

The Silvergruvan Property is prospective for silver, gold, lead, zinc, antimony, and indium. Historical data indicates mining activity in the area dating back to the 1600s, with records suggesting significant silver production between 1639 and 1852. Recent rock samples from historic waste dumps have returned high grades, including up to 800 g/t silver and 20.9% zinc.

To earn its interest, Brixton must issue $1.5 million in shares and commit $3.3 million to exploration over three years. The company noted geological similarities between the project and the nearby Garpenberg mine, a major polymetallic operation operated by Boliden.
