Brünig Mega Safe develops luxury underground vaults in Switzerland

A high-security underground vault complex, known as ‘Brünig Mega Safe’, is being constructed within the Brünig Massif near Lungern, Switzerland. The project involves creating 20 to 25 rock caverns located approximately 100 meters deep within stable Quintner limestone.

Designed for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, the vaults offer storage for legal assets such as gold, fine art, classic cars, and premium wines. The facility maintains a constant temperature of 13 degrees Celsius, providing ideal conditions for sensitive items. Access is strictly controlled through multiple security checkpoints and airlocks to deter unauthorized entry.

Clients can secure a cavern for a 99-year term via building rights, with costs ranging from approximately 500,000 to 775,000 CHF. Thomas Gasser, Chairman of the Board of Brünig Mega Safe AG, stated that the primary objective is to make entry as difficult as possible for unauthorized persons. While some initial contracts have already been signed, the luxury project has met with some local opposition in Lungern.
