Brnjak incident: Investigation launched into incendiary device near border

An investigation is underway following reports of an incendiary device, described by some media as a ‘fireball’, landing in the Brnjak area near Zubin Potok. While the object was reportedly launched from the direction of Kosovo toward central Serbia, no fires or significant damage were reported. The Novi Pazar Police Administration and prosecutor Sanja Mrlješ have been notified, and an investigation has been ordered to determine the origin and intent of the device.

Kosovo Police have officially denied allegations that any such device or weapon was launched from their territory. In a statement, they dismissed reports of ‘specialized weapons used to launch fireballs’ as untrue, asserting that no Kosovo Police units observed such activity. The Kosovo Police characterized these claims as disinformation intended to portray Kosovo as responsible for negative incidents in border regions, noting that border patrols, including KFOR units, maintain continuous monitoring of the area.
