Brno hosts 10th anniversary of Janáček Festival

The 10th edition of the Janáček Brno Festival commenced on Tuesday, October 13, with a performance of the opera Osud. Directed by Robert Carsen, the production featured conducting by Brno native Tomáš Hanus and set design by Radu Boruzescu.

The production utilizes a versatile stage design that transitions between settings, including a spa and a conservatory. Costumes by Annemarie Woods reflect early 20th-century fashion, utilizing a beige and white color palette to enhance the story's dreamlike quality. The festival is scheduled to continue through November 17.
