Brno hotel intruder found hiding under bed in luxury room

An unidentified man was discovered hiding under a bed in a five-star hotel in central Brno, Czech Republic, during the night of Saturday to Sunday. The incident was brought to light by Thai tour operator Korn-ek Thummarukkit, after a tourist noticed fingers protruding from beneath the bed.

Police investigations revealed that the intruder entered an empty room that was awaiting new guests, rather than a room already occupied by a guest. The individual managed to flee the scene before authorities arrived. According to police spokesperson David Chaloupka, no theft or property damage was reported, leaving little for officers to document.

Czech Inn Hotels spokesperson Dagmar Schejbalová stated that the hotel investigated the matter immediately and contacted the police. An audit of the electronic access system showed no unauthorized entry via hotel key cards; it appears the intruder entered through a door left open by a previous guest. The hotel has offered the affected tourist a complimentary stay as compensation.
