Brno implements traffic changes near Slatina schools
The Brno transport department is implementing new traffic measures on Kikrleho Street in the Slatina district to improve safety for over 450 children attending local primary and nursery schools.
The changes include converting the street into a one-way road and installing approximately twenty fixed bollards on the sidewalk near the sports complex to prevent illegal parking. To manage traffic flow, speed bumps and improved visibility at pedestrian crossings will also be added.
Specific parking provisions will be introduced near Přemyslovo náměstí, allowing legal 15-minute parking during morning and afternoon school drop-off and pick-up windows (7:00–9:00 and 14:00–16:00). The measures aim to streamline traffic and increase safety for students and athletes using the area.
