Educational institutions in Slovakia and Czechia undergo major infrastructure upgrades

Various educational institutions across Slovakia and the Czech Republic are undergoing significant infrastructure upgrades and modernizations.

In Kežmarok, Slovakia, the Prešov Self-Governing Region has invested over 14 million EUR to create a modern high school campus by linking the P. O. Hviezdoslav Gymnasium and the School of Applied Arts. The project includes renovated laboratories, studios, and a library. In Náchod, a religious medical school expanded its capacity by converting an attic into four new classrooms and staff areas at a cost of 34.2 million CZK. Additionally, the Technical High School in Mělník opened a new 43 million CZK pavilion to accommodate growing student numbers.

In the Czech Republic, several primary schools are seeing major improvements. ZŠ Zlatá in Rožňava is undergoing its largest reconstruction to date, focusing on energy efficiency with heat pumps and photovoltaics. In Čebín, a former 1970s department store has been converted into a primary school for 120 pupils. In Plzeň, the 13th Primary School received 111 million CZK for new science laboratories and sports halls, while the 26th Primary School added specialized teaching facilities. In Vyškov, investments were directed toward roof repairs at ZŠ Tyršova and electrical upgrades at a local nursery school.
