Brno-Přerov railway line faces service suspension for maintenance
A major railway service disruption will affect the line between Brno and Přerov from Sunday, October 18, until Wednesday, November 4. The suspension of train services is due to track and overhead line maintenance and repairs conducted by Správa železnic.
Replacement bus services will be implemented by České dráhy and RegioJet. For the duration of the outage, RegioJet's direct express trains between Brno and Přerov will be replaced by buses covering the entire route. On the first two days, the disruption will initially only affect the section between Vyškov and Nezamyslice, expanding to include Přerov from Tuesday onwards.
Specific service adjustments include: - R8 and R12 lines will be replaced by buses on various sections. - S71 services will use replacement buses between Vyškov and Nezamyslice. - Passengers traveling between Brno main station and Královo Pole may use the S3 line as an alternative.
The maintenance is part of a larger modernization project for the railway corridor, which includes the construction of a new double-track line between Nezamyslice and Přerov designed for speeds of 200 km/h.
