Brno selects architectural plan to create 66 municipal apartments

In Brno, a winning architectural design by AEIOU Studio has been selected to revitalize a city block on Křídlovická Street. The project focuses on the sensitive restoration of historical buildings at Křídlovická 57 and 59, which will be supplemented with modern architecture, including lightweight extensions and balconies.

The transformation aims to create 66 municipal apartments and a commercial passage on the ground floor. The plan also includes the creation of a local park within the inner courtyard and the conversion of a preserved factory into a marketplace and cultural center. The project seeks to recycle existing structures rather than demolish them, integrating greenery and modern elements into the historic facades.
