Brno Social Foundation Fund distributed 4.1 million CZK to those in need

The Social Foundation Fund of the City of Brno and the South Moravian Region distributed over 4.1 million CZK to 135 people last year. The fund provides non-repayable financial assistance to individuals in difficult life situations, including people with disabilities, children without family support, and lonely seniors.

Unlike commercial loans or consumer credit, which can carry high interest rates and fees, the fund's support is structured as a gift that does not need to be repaid. This allows recipients to focus on basic needs rather than debt servicing. The next application period for the fund is scheduled to run from September 1 to October 4, 2026.
