Brno tram services facing weekend disruptions near Komín depot
The Brno Transport Company is preparing for tram service disruptions near the Komín depot over an upcoming long weekend. The closures are part of the final stages of a track reconstruction project that has been underway since early June.
During the weekend of September 26 and 27, tram line 1 will be diverted via Husova and Veveří streets between Nové sady and Vozovna Komín. A replacement tram service, line P1, will run between Komárov, the Main Railway Station, Mendlovo náměstí, and Vozovna Komín. Line 3 will operate normally, while line 10 will run to the Bystrc, Rakovecká terminus.
On the following holiday Monday, service patterns will change again: line 1 will run between Řečkovice and Vozovna Komín, line 3 between Stará osada and Vozovna Komín, and line 10 will run between Stránská skála and Konečného náměstí, continuing via the route of line 12. Bus line 54 will provide transport from Vozovna Komín to Bystrc.
While tram services are expected to return to normal on October 1, road and pedestrian restrictions will persist. In Kníničská street, only one lane will be available for motorists throughout October, and the adjacent cycle path will remain closed until the end of the month.
