Brno's New T Arena and Proposed Stadium Plans

The T Arena, a new multifunctional hall on the Brno exhibition grounds, is under construction with a capacity of over 12,000 seats and a budget of roughly CZK 4.44 billion. The building is expected to be handed over to Arena Brno on 25 October 2024, with the venue ready for its first event – the Women’s European Handball Championship – scheduled for 4‑8 December 2026.

Arena officials have already announced a 2027 calendar that includes a K‑Pop Fever concert on 22 January, the FMX Gladiator Games on 27 February, a cinematic screening of "The Lord of the Rings" on 2 May with a live orchestra, and the Oktagon mixed‑martial‑arts competition on 19 June. Future world championships in climbing and small‑sided football are also slated for the venue. In addition to sports, the arena will host conferences, corporate meetings and other large‑scale cultural events.

Separately, the owner of football club Zbrojovka, Vladimír Kačena, is evaluating a new stadium for Brno with a capacity of 30‑35 thousand seats and an estimated cost of about CZK 3 billion. He envisions the site at the historic Lužánky area, financed through private funds and loans, aiming to revive the large‑attendance legacy of the former Zbrojovka stadium.
