Broadcast technology firms announce major updates for IBC 2026

IBC 2026 broadcast technology agentic AI IP10 codec audio mixing consoles

Several major broadcast technology companies have announced significant updates and product reveals scheduled for the IBC 2026 trade show in Amsterdam.

Bridge Technologies is expanding its VB440 waveform monitor to support Blackmagic Design’s IP10 codec. The IP10 codec is a lightweight, royalty-free solution designed for ST-2110 environments, allowing for the transport of Ultra-HD signals over 10-Gigabit Ethernet. This integration is intended to support remote production and smaller facilities that lack high-bandwidth 25GbE infrastructure.

Avid is introducing Media Composer version 2026.8, which integrates agentic artificial intelligence through its Content Core ecosystem. A new feature called ‘Ready to edit’ will use AI agents to automate routine content preparation tasks, allowing editors to focus on creative supervision while accessing multimedia resources directly within their editing environment.

DHD Audio has announced it will unveil a third-generation audio mixing console at IBC 2026. Described as one of the most radical advancements in the company’s 30-year history, the new modular console is designed to be compatible with existing DHD digital processing cores, ensuring continuity for current users.
