Broadcast technology updates: NTP Technology and Avid infrastructure advancements
NTP Technology is set to debut its 128-channel ST 2110-30-RAVENNA expansion card at IBC 2026. Designed for DAD Thunder interfaces (Core, Penta, and AX32), the card enables compatibility with more Ethernet-based audio IP formats in broadcast environments. This allows for advanced applications such as remote microphone preamp control, routing, and sample rate conversion.
Separately, MediaCity Studios has upgraded its production infrastructure by implementing the Avid Stream IO ecosystem. The facility has deployed 44 channels of Stream IO to enhance ingestion and broadcast capabilities across AVC, XAVC, 1080p, and UHD workflows. This system supports large-scale multi-camera productions and enables remote recording and editing, integrating with the studio's existing Avid MediaCentral and Media Composer infrastructure.
