Broadcom AI Chip Revenue Projected to Reach $16 B Next Quarter
Broadcom reported that revenue from its AI‑focused XPU chips surged 143% year‑over‑year to $10.8 billion in the latest quarter, driving overall sales up 48% to $22 billion. CEO Hock Tan said demand for XPUs and networking is “simply insatiable,” and the company forecast AI chip revenue to grow more than 200% year‑over‑year, targeting $16 billion in the coming quarter.
Despite the strong growth, Broadcom’s share price slipped 17% after the earnings release, a move attributed to investors seeking clearer guidance for the rest of the year. Analysts remain upbeat, noting the company’s expanding deals with major AI firms such as Google, Anthropic and OpenAI, and maintaining a “moderate‑buy” consensus. The outlook suggests continued acceleration in AI data‑center spending, which underpins Broadcom’s near‑term revenue trajectory.
