Broadcom raises AI revenue outlook to $115 billion for fiscal 2027

Broadcom Inc. has significantly raised its artificial intelligence semiconductor revenue forecast for fiscal year 2027, increasing the projection from $100 billion to $115 billion. The company also anticipates even greater growth in fiscal 2028, with some estimates suggesting revenue could reach approximately $230 billion.

Despite recent market volatility and a slight dip in share price following earnings, analysts remain optimistic. Citi analyst Atif Malik maintained a ‘buy’ rating and raised the price target for Broadcom to $515, citing the massive upside potential driven by the AI boom. The company’s growth is fueled by high demand for custom AI accelerators, Ethernet networking, and optical connections, positioning it as a critical provider alongside Nvidia for global data centers.

Broadcom is also leveraging its VMware acquisition to develop platforms like Private AI Cloud and AI Factory to serve enterprise AI needs. While investors are monitoring execution risks, supply capacity, and customer investment levels, the company’s recent quarterly revenue grew by 86 percent to $29.59 billion, with AI-specific revenue surging by 221 percent.
