Broadway revival of Other Desert Cities features Julia Louis-Dreyfus

The Broadway revival of Jon Robin Baitz’s Pulitzer Prize-shortlisted play, Other Desert Cities, is currently running at the Hudson Theatre. The production marks the Broadway debut of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who plays Polly Wyeth, a matriarch in Palm Springs.

The play, set in 2004, follows a conservative, politically powerful couple whose family dynamics are disrupted when their daughter announces she is publishing a tell-all memoir. The cast includes Ed Harris as Lyman Wyeth, Allison Janney as Silda, Joe Keery as Trip, and Lily Rabe as the daughter.

This production is directed by John Benjamin Hickey, marking his first time directing a play written by longtime collaborator Jon Robin Baitz. The revival follows the original 2011 production that debuted at Lincoln Center.
